Innovation Simulator : Structure and Dynamics of The Model

The fictitious organization featured in the Macroinnovation simulation is a for-profit business consisting of 100 workers and a supervising management function. Workers account for the generation of revenue in the model, in accordance with the proportion of time they spend working, versus the time spend in learning or knowledge production activities. The distribution of their time across these various activity types is, in turn, governed by knowledge-related policy choices made by management -- that is, by YOU.

When you interact with the model, you assume the policy-making powers of management on matters related to knowledge production, sharing, and integration; and the effects of your choices are reported back to you in terms of what their impact has been on the rate and quality of business innovation, as well as the 'bottom line.'

Not all of the policy variables featured in the Macroinnovation Method are included in the simulation. This was done for simplicity's sake. Only four (4) of the eight (8) dimensions of the method are used. The rest were left out for simplicity's sake and, for purposes of the simulation, are assumed to be optimized.
