Knowledge Process Integration
- A New KM Strategy for Advanced Practitioners (Presentation)
This is a very high-level overview
of a new type of KM strategy and intervention that we call 'Knowledge
Process Integration' (KPI). It was inspired by work first
done at Partners Healthcare in Boston (reported by Tom Davenport
and John Glaser in Harvard Business Review, in July, 2002), but
reflects enhancements made afterwards by Mark W. McElroy and
Joseph M. Firestone with input from students of theirs at a KMCI
workshop in October 2004. This particular presentation of
the KPI concept is expressed at the level of conceptual overview,
suitable for Executive Summary or introductory purposes, but
not sufficient in detail to inform actual practice.
